Malezia 5% Urea Moisturizer

I just wanted to post a very positive review even though I don’t normally do reviews. We had a shipping issue that was extremely frustrating to no fault of Malezia or the shipping company. And after reaching out to see if anything could be done, customer service is helping us get a replacement of the products we originally ordered since our shipment was lost. We haven’t even had the opportunity to use the products yet, but this is not the kind of service you would get with a big company, which is why I feel like this is likely the products that will finally work. They REALLY CARE! I’ll be posting a review soon once we get a chance to try them out.

I was very skeptical of this brand; I’m skeptical of all skin care because I have cystic acne from PCOS and very sensitive skin. I’ve paid thousands just to go through the same cycle — use it, it’s good for a week or so, and then my face rejects the product. THIS moisturizer has been the only exception. I’ve already purchased it twice and I’m about to purchase it again! I put it on damp skin, and it absorbs so nicely; no residue, not sticky. My skin drinks it up. Now, it’s not the most hydrating moisturizer I’ve ever used, but I consider that a good thing because my skin tends to breakout the moment it becomes a little oily. This is the perfect everyday moisturizer that keeps my skin feeling soft and just hydrated enough. If you’re looking for that deep, rich hydration, this probably isn’t the one for you, but if you’re looking for one that soaks right in, doesn’t make your sweat worse (if you know, you know), and just feels like “this is what skin should feel like”, this is the one! I haven’t broken out because of it, and it’s kept my very reactive skin calm. I swear by this product and I’m so happy to have it in my routine. As long as the ingredients don’t change, I’m going to be a customer for life!

It’s about time I write this review. I have been using this moisturizer for well over a year now and it’s changed my life. I suffer from easily-triggered Pityrosporum folliculitis (or Malassezia folliculitis) on my face and body. The MOMENT I started using this product, I never suffered from it again. Every single other product I could possible put on my face would trigger it. Nothing would help. This is the ONLY product that is safe for my skin. I cannot recommend it enough, it is the holy grail of all holy grails. I’ve had clear enough skin ever since and I will never go back. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU MALEZIA FOR EXISTING.

Truly, this is a miracle product. I have hormonal acne, possibly fungal actually too, but ChatGPT doesn’t think so. Anyway, this moisturizer has totally changed the game for me. (as well as the two other products in the acne starter kit. Malezia has forever changed my life- I feel so blessed to have found this product. Thank you from the bottom of my heart F.C.!!! Truly, this has made a difference in my life. My skin has gone from raging and hormonal synced with my cycle to mildly aggravated, but certainly improving. I had almost no new breakouts this past cycle. My husband had a chronically dry skin spot near his mouth. No matter what he moisturized with, it never got better. This Urea moisturizer made it vanish. Totally gone, no dry skin patch, and the rest of his face is more balanced than it was before as well. (he does not have acne prob skin, but before this, he has always had chronically dry skin. This product has been revolutionary for us. We both use the hyaluronic acid cleanser, I use the BP gel, and just incorporated the azelaic acid, hesitantly, becuase I have super sensitive skin. My skin has done beautifully with it, and is steadily improving. Thanks Malezia! Keep up the good work.

I rarely leave reviews but I felt compelled to do so because I want to do what I can to help others in my situation. 3 years postpartum and I could not get a handle on my skin. All the traditional products that my dermatologist recommended for years stopped working. I even tried the harsher topical and oral pharmaceuticals that made no difference to my skin and made my body feel like it wasn’t my own. After lots of late night searching I discovered a Reddit post describing fungal acne and the writers situation sounded so much like my own. Fast forward to the blog from the creator of these products and here we are. I followed the 8 week protocol to a T and finally have results! The skin on my face is clear! And my chest and back are on their way! The moisturizer, HA cleanser, BP gel trio have been great. I didn’t find the BP too harsh. After a couple weeks no flaking at all.
I’m slowly starting to incorporate some fungal acne safe products to my routine and have incorporated the MCT oil as well. Thank you to these creators for helping so many like myself, and at a time when I was starting to lose hope!

Been looking for a no-brainer moisturizer that I can be there for me in the long haul. I’m done shopping for moisturizer and found the one. I’ve got several Malezia products but this is my favorite! It’s a nice gentle cream. If my skin is super dry, it doesn’t immediately feel super moisturizing, but when that happens I put another layer on a few minutes later and any tightness goes away.

My favorite thing about all of these products is the Malezia philosophy. I ❤️ that they use recyclable aluminum materials and don’t focus on trendy stuff, just science and experience. Their customer service is excellent! I feel secure in the hope they aren’t going to bait and switch for cheaper ingredients down the line and I can just settle into a nice, simple routine. ( I use the oil and hyaluronic cleansers and this moisturizer). Works well with my Tretenoin cream too.

I don’t think I’ve ever left a product review but this warrants it - i recently figured out I’ve been dealing with fungal acne for probably years. This is the only moisturizer I’ve used that keeps my skin clear and might even be making it clearer. And super hydrating. Such a relief to finally have an effective moisturizer and not sacrifice clear skin. If you feel like you’re at your wits end with fungal acne and products, please give this a try!

I have been suffering from Seborrheic Dermatitis for over 10 years at this point, and nothing has helped. I have been suffering through so many products, nothing helping, constant flakiness and painful red spots. Moisturizers hurt my face - even gentle products like CeraVe or Cetaphil that it seemed like everyone in the world recommended to me. That was, until I found Malezia. It hasn't fully gone away yet, but I can tell the flakes are getting less hard and they are not painful anymore. This is seriously a lifesaver. I don't know what I will do if this product ceases to exist!

Cons
- The ONLY con I have found is that the packaging did kind of... explode on me when I opened it. A lot of the product came out when I punctured the seal. Not a huge deal, but potentially a better package would be helpful so I don't lose any product!

I have seb derm on my scalp and sometimes on my face. This moisturizer has helped keep it from affecting my face. Since I've been using it, I haven't had flare ups on my face. Before I started using it, I was having quite a few, and I would put on a moisturizer to soothe it, but in a few minutes it would start to sting. I also have older skin and need a good moisturizer. I've replaced my regular cleanser and moisturizer with the hyaluronic acid cleanser and 5% urea moisturizer. It's been at least six months and the moisturizer never irritates my skin -- it soothes it when it's dry leaving it looking hydrated and smooth, and it's never feels greasy. If the products I use on my scalp have left it dry, I sometimes part my hair at the irritated spots and rub a little on there. The first time I did it, I was sure my hair would look greasy, but it didn't, and the moisturizer did soothe my scalp. I wasn't sure how the moisturizer would work with the products I use to reduce signs of aging -- because my skin is sensitive, I need to use moisturizer before I use those products and happily, this moisturizer works well for this purpose. I just let it dry well first (which needed to do anyway for most products to avoid pilling). I really like this stuff and only wish it came in a bigger size. As my skin ages, I need more and more moisturizer to continue to look fresh. I also think that it's sucks to have acne and wrinkles, and having this moisturized as part of my routine really helps.
