Malezia Hyaluronic Acid Cleanser

First, some context before I explain (in this very long review) how this product-line has changed my life:
- I have very pale, very sensitive, moderately acne prone skin and live in a dry, cold winter/hot summer, high altitude location.
-I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS), which means my collagen doesn’t build correctly and leads to skin fragility and sensitivity, and delays cell turnover leading to over-keratinization, tons of skin congestion, whiteheads/blackheads and (in my youth, and leading to accutane) horrible cystic acne.
- I also have MCAS, which means I’m very histamine sensitive and react horribly to tons of products.
- Due to the above, I have not been able to wash my face with anything but micellar water for the last 10 or so years without getting horrible, angry, broken skin with a ton of acne as a result (and not due to lack of trying, I’ve tried about every sensitive skin cleanser out there).

Until Malezia.

I needed to set that precedent for you to understand how incredible this cleanser, and line of products in general, is.

This is the sole exception to the above statement. I have been using this cleanser as my only water-based cleanser for 4 weeks now. I live in a very dry, cold, high altitude climate, so initially had reservations about if the Hyaluronic Acid in this would dry out my skin, but have had no such issues. Whether I use this alone or with Malezia’s MCT Oil or Cleansing Balm, the experience is wonderful — it effectively cleans my skin WITHOUT drying me out NOR causing that horrible “squeaky clean” feeling that you know means your skin will be tight and uncomfortable.

After I use this, my skin is soft and velvety; it is hydrated and ready for the next steps of my routine.

It’s amazing to me to even write “next steps of my routine”, as I’ve never before been able to use any products without horrible reactions or causing terrible acne — but with Malezia’s line I now get to have additional steps! I know this review is for the cleanser, but I faithfully use their Urea Moisturizer, which has been a hydration godsend this winter, and I’m completely obsessed with their Azelaic Acid cream as well!! (I tolerate it so well I could use it twice a day with no buffer and have no reaction — I checked!). I have never been able to find a moisturizer I could reliably use daily without irritation or dryness. And I have never in my life been able to use actives, despite numerous attempts with dermatologists everywhere. I genuinely believe if this brand had been around when I had cystic acne, I may not have had to go through Accutane to have gotten rid of it.

This product line has become my HG staples and have given me a level of confidence and health in my skin I honestly didn’t believe was possible for me. It helps my EDS skin repair itself and doesn’t trigger my MCAS. It is the sensitive skin, “nothing has ever worked for me” holy grail and if you haven’t pulled the trigger yet, you absolutely should.

I recently repurchased this after not using it for a while and it made me remember why I love this face wash better than all my others! It’s very gentle but still leaves my skin feeling clean and doesn’t disrupt my skin barrier :)

I love this facewash! Most of my adult life I’ve felt like I’m missing out on nice-feeling products because traditional skincare wasn’t safe for fungal acne, and most of the FA-safe options on the pre-Malezia market were just harsh and cheap-feeling. This facewash has a really pleasing silky feeling that I love, cleanses effectively without stripping skin, and the packaging looks beautiful on the bathroom sink. 10/10, no notes!

Wonderful face wash. Usually gel consistency washes dry my skin out but this leaves my face feeling hydrated, not tight or stripped. Gives a nice fresh feeling.

I rarely write reviews, but I feel a responsibility to share what an amazing this product is. I stumbled upon this face wash on a skincare website that rated it a 100% match regarding my skincare concerns/ingredients suitable for my skin type (I have very sensitive skin). I noticed it had great reviews on that forum, and decided to give it a try. I have had small bumps/texture on the sides of my chin that have been there since middle school; I'm not quite sure if they were closed comedones or fungal acne, but since I was using a face wash and moisturizer that I swore by, and that were already intended for sensitive skin, I honestly came to the conclusion they were never going to go away. However, I have used this face wash for a little under a month, and I cannot believe it, but they are almost completely gone. The skin on my chin is smooth. I have tried several acne medications, both oral and topical, and never has my skin looked like this. Please NEVER change the ingredients or stop selling this face wash. I am finishing up my first bottle, and am about to buy 2 more now.

I have loved all of my products from Malezia. I first started using the moisturizer, face wash, and benzoyl peroxide after I had mystery acne for several months and the dermatologist couldn't figure it out. I was even on medication for a few months. This program cleared it right up! I am a loyal customer now - my skin looks amazing.

Is one of the best cleansers I have ever used! Please never change its formulation. It’s simple and effective. It’s just perfect!

I found Malezia because of a seb derm flare that occurred on my face, with huge red patches that became flaky around my hairline, nose, and eyes. Basically everything on the market had ingredients that exacerbated malesezia yeast so even dermatologist recommended face washes ended up making it worse. I tried malezia and have never looked back, my skin is completely back to normal with a restored skin barrier and none of the suspicious acne I had before the flare. I will NEVER use another face wash!! Life saver , thank you thank you

This!!!!! The core regimen…I NEVER write reviews. But with these products, I could not help myself. Recently flared up with bad fungal acne the last few months after exploring some new skincare products. After accutane in high school I never had to worry about breakouts again until recently. I also have tinea versicolor on my body, so when I started breaking out on my face, I searched and searched for something to help. Truly about two weeks in and this is absolutely incredible!
