Malezia 5% Urea Moisturizer

I have been following simpleskinscarescience since 2018, when I had an insane folliculitis infection (but at the time thought it was acne). I now religiously only use the malezia urea moisturizer and recommend it to everyone I see. My skin is highly sensitive and this product is super delicate and highly moisturizing. 10/10

As someone who has very oily skin and has struggled with different types of acne my entire life, I'm afraid of moisturizers. They usually will make things worse, or I can't feel any difference.
This moisturizer changed things for me. I could notice the difference in my skin hydration, at the same time, it is helping my skin in the acne clearing process. I love it.

I have been waiting to be able to give this review. In early September, my face started acting crazy. My sister said it looks like exczema, you should go to the dermatologist (see photo 1). It was really bad. I got diagnosed with Seborrheic Dermatitis and was given Ketaconazole and Hydrocortisone and sent on my way. I kid you not, I am pretty sure it made my condition way worse and completely ruined my skin barrier. I called wanting to switch to to something else but they told me to stay on it for a few more weeks. I did not. I took to the internet to competely understand what I was dealing with and like many of you, found FC and his website full of information. So I started my little skin journey. I tried everything from Vanicream face wash to Zinc bars to specialized eczema and seb derm products and they would sting and turn me red and did nothing to help. I finally decided to give Malezia a go, since it was a product BY FC. You HAVE GOT TO read and follow the regimen. HAVE TO. If you want any results. So I did just that. And let me point out, before I even started, I contacted customer service about using Squalane Oil with their products and they informed me that I should purchase and use the BP as well. I was confused, because my seb derm does not come in the form of pimples. Which when using the word "fungal acne" confused me. Mine was just dry, itchy, patchy, red red skin. Not pimples. Let me tell you, it works. I wash my face every morning for no more than 10 seconds with the Malezia face wash, I pat dry with face towels purchased from Amazon. I then moisturize with Malezia, let it dry down, and moisturize again. My face just needs it and responds well. I do this morning and evening, but in the evening I add the BP over the moisturizer and leave it on. Here I am about 5 weeks later and my face is almost back to normal. My skin barrier is coming back and getting softer again, no more hard crispy skin. I can not LOVE this company enough. I apolgize for ranting. I have provided photos, hopefully you can tell "worse" to "best".

I had trouble with my skin for years and since finding this product and the blog, my skin has never been better! I ran out of my Malezia 5% Urea Moisturizer, and was trying to hold off on buying more until after Christmas and my skin was not happy! I decided I couldn’t wait and ordered another tube. Within a few days my skin is already doing better and looking great again! Can not recommend this stuff enough if you have fungal acne

Best moisturiser I have ever used. I can’t use anything on my skin without it breaking out in eczema or pimples. This product saved my life. Never using another again.

I've been using this moisturizer for roughly two weeks now and it works fabulously. I am really surprised at how well my skin is taking to Malezia's products. I usually have incredibly reactive skin that hates everything, but this seems to work. I use this product AM and PM after cleansing.

I was worried about the urea in the product and whether that would be too much for my skin (especially because I use retinoids), but my skin does not seem to have any reaction to it. It helps keep my skin soft and it spreads well.

My only complaint is just the price point, but the product seems to last awhile and you don't need to use a lot to cover your entire face. I find that if you layer this product after hydrating serums, toners, etc. it works even better. I use the Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium Lotion (which is also FA safe).

I would like to start by saying that I suffer from seborrheic dermatitis (Seb Derm). After a stressful year in 2023, I experienced a bad flare-up in 2024, resulting in itchy, red, inflamed, yet dry skin. As a new patient, I had to wait to see a dermatologist, which was frustrating. In the meantime, I turned to YouTube and online resources and thankfully found this company that offered helpful products.

I realized I would need to revamp my entire skincare routine “again” especially since I was trying to address hyperpigmentation. Buy purchasing some good fatty acid moisturizers. Initially played it safe by using a basic moisturizer recommended by most dermatologists while dealing with the itching and inflammation. I was hesitant to introduce anything new to my skin. It's great because I now realize that those fatty moisturizers would have fed the yeast on my skin.

During my research and after receiving my official diagnosis of seborrheic dermatitis, I ordered nearly every product from Malezia, except for the cleansing balm. The information I found on their website helped me understand the importance of ingredients like urea. Fortunately, I was able to return untested moisturizers that would have aggravated my skin condition.

To this day, I only use Malezia moisturizer. One tube has lasted me several months, so the cost is justified; a little goes a long way, and it spreads easily. Unfortunately, I felt insecure about my skin and did not take photos to compare my condition now. For the record, I have a light complexion and skin of color, which means I am prone to red inflamed bumps followed by brown spots from hyperpigmentation.

I have been struggling with my skin so bad recently, it’s really left me feeling quite defeated. I have never had acne problems like this before so when my face started to flare I was panicking! I found out it was fungal acne related and everything I did it would just react worse and worse. At one point my face ballooned up and it was so swollen and painful I couldn’t even eat. I have been so self conscious about my skin I’ve hardly left my house. I started malezia products on a hope and prayer that something would help and I’m so glad I did. It has truly been day and night. I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks now and the difference is shocking, I’m not 100% where I want to be but I’m definitely feeling more comfortable in my skin.

I’m so grateful I found the website with the fungal acne guide and it led me to Malezia. I had a bad breakout I believed was fungal acne and started following the program. Although I think it may have been regular acne or follicular is or dermatitis, the regimen has worked wonders and totally healed my broken out sensitive skin. The hero product is definitely the urea moisturizer which I know I can rely on no matter what - will never upset my skin and will always give it a perfect dose of hydration. Using lots of benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid obviously dries out the skin but the moisturizer soothes it immediately and makes my skin so smooth. This will always be a regular part of my skincare from now on - I do wish shipping/ordering were faster and easier. It took quite a while for the moisturizer to arrive - I realize it’s a small newer company that is trying to keep up with demand for an excellent product. I would also love it if it came in a much larger size! I wish I could buy a giant tube of this so I never have to worry about running out!

Doing the routine and it works! My skin is insanely sensitive so I had to start with putting on BP for one minute and then washing off then waiting 4 days before applying again. Slowly built up to leaving on every other day and I'm acne free!
