Iv tried various exfoliants from multiple brands and this by far is the BEST! I have sensitive skin and most products would leave my skin irritated and dry. This however is perfect, non-irritating but very effective. Apart from keeping the breakouts at bay its drastically softened my forhead lines if not completely smoothed them. I recommend it to all my girlies. For smooth skin I use a gentle cleanser, this exfoliant, peptides and a non-comedogenic oil blend. Wish I had taken a before and after picture, wasnt expecting such great results.

AHAs and I had a long, arduous journey when trying to treat my sensitive, acne-prone skin (which is also oily and irritated). Every AHA pissed my skin off more: azelaic, mandelic, lactic, glycolic. Whether it was serums, combo creams or even chemical peels, I only got redder. Sometimes, my acne would just spontaneously bleed after applying an AHA. I can tolerate BHAs and retinoids OK and this seemed insane.
I bought this on a whim since their moisturizer is my HG product. I was pleasantly surprised #1 my skin was cool with it and #2 I finally got the benefits of an AHA! My skin is smoother, my acne calmed down some and I love that PHA is not photosensitizing.
The work house of my regimen is retinoids, but I took a years-long break from them and this product helped a lot. I still use it during the day with my bakuchiol serum prior to moisturizer and then sunscreen. My only complaint is that even though I use 2-4 drops for face and decollate, it does appear slightly oily. I don’t mind it much since my face will look a little slick from my own oil or sunscreen by the end of the day. However, it does make keeping my bangs fresh a little challenging.
I usually only use exfoliant a couple of times a month, based on how my skin is feeling, and have to wash it off after 30-40 minutes before going on with my regular skincare (30-40 minutes is generally the period of time where exfoliation occurs, so I was never missing out by washing it off, but it wasn't very pleasant to have the extra step and I also missed out on any other benefits in the product). The advent of PHA on the market sometimes allowed me to keep the exfoliant on my skin with other skincare products without risking horrible redness and irritation. Considering this contains BHA as well, I wasn't expecting to be able to leave it on, but I was able to put it on with my other skin care and didn't have stinging and irritation when I applied other products over it. Whatever they did in the formulation, it's gentler on my skin than most exfoliating products. (when my skin is being fussy, I can't use any exfoliant, including this one, but that's not a flaw of the product.)
I rate it five stars, but if there's one drawback, it's that it's a little challenging to apply. Perhaps it's because my skin is dry, but it sucks this up like a sponge, and I feel like I have to use more than I would expect to get it all over my face. I do use it once a week now, and my skin feels really nice. I also use the cleansing balm, but I never leave that on my skin, and I don't use them on the same nights, so I don't feel like I'm in any danger of overuse.
