After spending so much money on skincare products trying to fix what I deemed to be stubborn “dry skin” I learned I have seborrheic dermatitis putting me right back at square one. I knew for certain I didn’t want to give up cleansing oil/balm due to it being my favourite method of makeup removal so found myself buying this product along with the Purified MCT Oil. Truthfully, the Purified MCT Oil made my skin have a flare up but with how unpredictable seborrheic dermatitis is I can’t blame Malezia. This balm however has trumped all of my expectations. Not only is it a lovely texture, removes all makeup, doesn’t strip my skin and clears congestion (another thing I was really struggling with), it doesn’t exacerbate my seborrheic dermatitis at all! It is quite literally a godsend. For the first time ever I’m left with flake free, easy to manage skin with the help of Malezia’s Hyaluronic Acid Cleanser (another godsend) and product recommendations from the Simple Skincare Science website. I’ve just ordered 3 more tubes of this cleansing balm and when they run out I’ll be sure to order some more.
For those of you concerned about product separation give the tube a good shake and you will have zero issues.
I actually don’t know where to begin. I, like most skin sufferers, have been passed from pillar to post by so many ‘professionals’, have paid through the nose for every product that has promised to cure me. Little did I realise that most of these other products were in fact adding to my ongoing issues and feeding the bacteria within my skin. Great price and great pre-cleanse. Keep it at a normal/cool temp and the consistency is perfect otherwise its a bit runny—but it does its job!
This made it to Alaska just fine, a bit of watery product came out at first, but after a squeeze the firmer gel inside started to come out and it is great. Super moisturizing and silky. Spreads well and goes a long way. I let it sit for 15 and rinse. It helps with mild flaking from using almond clear serum for fungal acne. Also my pores look smaller, probably from the Salicylic acid.
I've purchased the pilot version of this product multiple times. There's some separation, but it doesn't bother me. I shake the bottle before use and can't imagine being without this product. It's been a lifesaver for my combination skin. I can see the blackheads and impurities leave my skin, which is so satisfying. The discounted rate is such a steal. I'm excited to try the final formulation with the new packaging! If you're undecided, I genuinely recommend buying and trying it. The discounted rate is a fantastic deal! This is a really good oil cleanser. It removes makeup and de-clogs pores. It also emulsifies well and removes easily. The tube leaks a bit in transit, but that doesn’t change the effectiveness of the product. Can’t wait to see what the final version will be.
Absolutely love this product. I have tried my share of products out there but this one is the real deal!
It arrived with a small amount of leakage but this was clearly explained on the website and I chose to take a chance because I wanted to try it anyway. I think the parcel held up well given that it was sent internationally. I gave it a good shake and used it and I felt it is lovely. I wanted a product that would be good for the hormonal and random fa flare ups I get. I haven't oil/double cleansed in a long time and I felt it really cleaned my skin well. The texture of my skin the next day is supere smooth and some of the break outs have already reduced. I will keep using this when needed and will definitely try the next model of this cleanser.
I've loved all the products I've tried from here and recommend this site often. I love that the ingredients list is small and intentional. These products and the blog have really eased my skin problems :-)
It was leaking and busted. Super disappointing
Do not sleep on this product! For me at least, it broke down that stubborn malassezia-caused biofilm that nothing else could touch. My malassezia issues are usually under control (not actively flaking or red as long as I don't stray from the Malezia routine); but sometimes weather or life changes will cause a flare-up that the usual cleanser/MCT/moisturizer routine won't help. And for flare-ups, nothing else has worked for me but this: Malezia Cleansing balm every other day + honey mask (manukora honey + xylitol) also every other day. Life-changing products!
